Corporate Profile
The Northern Institute is a private educational and research organization based in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Our mission is to create top-quality, insightful conferences and educational events that focus exclusively on issues affecting Canada’s Northern Territories and Arctic regions. As an independent organization with no political or ideological agendas or affiliation with any interest groups, we strive to serve as a neutral, inclusive and respectful forum for discussion, dialogue and debate.
Staffed with and organized by seasoned professionals who live in and understand the North, our events will keep you on top of what’s happening in the North.
The topics of our events are based on extensive research and solid understanding of northern sectors, industries and communities. These events focus on “hot-button” political, legal, business and policy issues in the North, and provide you with “need-to-know” information that will help you succeed in your job or assist you to make more informed decisions that affect the North. Our faculty members are knowledgeable experts who have extensive experience in working in or with the North.
We also operate as a think tank on northern issues, regularly monitoring events, trends and developments in the North, with a goal of providing value-added information to Northern sectors, industries and communities.
We are proud of what we are doing and thank you for your continuous supports!
